Saudi Cabinet Condemns Iranian Attacks, Affirms Right to Defend Kingdom

Riyadh, March 10, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Mohammed bin Salman chaired a Cabinet session held Tuesday via video conference, during which ministers strongly condemned Iranian attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and several regional countries.


The Cabinet denounced what it described as Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and a number of Arab, Islamic and friendly nations, calling them a violation of international law and international conventions after civilian targets, airports and oil facilities were struck.


The Cabinet affirmed Saudi Arabia’s full right to take all necessary measures to protect its security, sovereignty and territorial integrity and to deter aggression. Ministers also praised the capabilities of Saudi air defenses in intercepting and destroying missiles and drones targeting sites and facilities in the Kingdom.


According to a statement carried by Saudi Press Agency, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman briefed ministers on recent phone calls with leaders of several countries as part of ongoing consultations on the latest regional developments and their implications for regional and international security and stability.


Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary said the Cabinet reviewed Saudi Arabia’s efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination with Gulf and Arab partners to address regional challenges. Ministers also welcomed statements issued by meetings of the GCC and the European Union and the League of Arab States, which condemned the Iranian attacks.


The Cabinet also discussed domestic matters, including development initiatives and the outcomes of the 33rd annual meeting of regional governors, aimed at supporting development opportunities and strengthening sector capabilities.


Ministers praised the success of the sixth edition of the National Campaign for Charitable Work (Ehsan), which promotes charitable initiatives and social solidarity across the Kingdom.


The Cabinet also highlighted the upcoming celebration of Saudi Flag Day on March 11, describing it as a symbol of national pride and the historical identity of the Saudi state.


During the session, ministers approved several agreements and memoranda of understanding with international partners, including political consultations with Malaysia, tourism cooperation with Hungary and San Marino, and sustainable development cooperation with Bahrain.


The Cabinet also approved agreements on investment promotion with Syria and Uruguay, cooperation in the real estate sector with Qatar, and endorsed the establishment of a Royal Institute for Anthropology and Cultural Studies.


Ministers also approved the designation of 2026 as the Year of Artificial Intelligence in Saudi Arabia.
