Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan Sign Mutual Defence Pact

MAKKAH, August 7 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan have signed a mutual defence pact stipulating that an attack against any of the three countries “shall be regarded as an attack against them all.”
The agreement is “intended to strengthen collective deterrence against any act of aggression” and “further provides for the enhancement of all aspects of defence cooperation among the three states,” the countries said in a joint statement.
The pact was signed in Makkah following a meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The joint statement said the agreement is “guided by the longstanding historical ties among the three states, based on the enduring bonds of brotherhood and Islamic solidarity that unite them, and building upon their shared strategic interests and longstanding defense cooperation,”
