Saudi Arabia, Spain sign MoUs to boost cooperation on civil aviation, future transport

RIYADH, February 10, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia and Spain signed two memoranda of understanding on Tuesday to strengthen cooperation in civil aviation and future modes of transportation.
Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh Al-Jasser and Spain’s Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility Óscar Puente signed the agreements at the Saudi transport ministry headquarters in Riyadh.
The memoranda aim to develop technical, regulatory and operational cooperation between the two countries, with a focus on infrastructure development and advancing future transportation modes.
They are expected to raise aviation safety standards, enhance security, improve the quality of air operations and elevate the passenger experience.
They also cover digitalisation, innovation and modern transportation technologies, as well as policies related to future transport modes, multimodal transport and air mobility.
