Saudi Arabia records 19,790 violations of residency, labor and border regulations in nationwide campaigns

Riyadh, December 7, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Inspection campaigns carried out across the Kingdom between November 27 and December 3 resulted in 19,790 violations of residency, labor and border security regulations, the Ministry of Interior said.
According to the ministry, authorities recorded 12,252 residency violations, 4,384 border security violations, and 3,154 labor-related violations.
Border security units apprehended 1,661 people attempting to enter the Kingdom illegally, including 45% Yemenis, 54% Ethiopians, and 1% of other nationalities. Another 49 individuals were arrested for attempting to leave the Kingdom illegally.
Authorities also detained 15 people accused of transporting, sheltering or employing violators.
A total of 31,292 expatriates — 29,410 men and 1,882 women — are currently undergoing procedures to enforce relevant regulations.The ministry said 21,805 individuals were instructed to contact their embassies or consulates to obtain travel documents, while 5,370 were directed to complete travel arrangements. Another 11,148 people were repatriated.
The Ministry of Interior reiterated that facilitating illegal entry, transporting violators, or providing shelter or assistance is punishable by up to 15 years in prison and fines of up to SAR1 million, in addition to the confiscation of vehicles or properties used in such activities.
The ministry also urged the public to report violations through 911 in Makkah, Riyadh and the Eastern Region, and 999 or 996 in other regions.
