Riyadh, March 3, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia condemned what it described as an Iranian attack targeting the Embassy of the United States, Riyadh and called it a violation of international law and diplomatic protections.
In a statement, the kingdom said the attack breached international norms and laws, including the 1949 Geneva Conventions and the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which provide immunity for diplomatic premises and personnel even during armed conflict.
Saudi Arabia warned that repeated attacks, despite what it described as Iran’s knowledge that the kingdom would not allow its airspace or territory to be used to target Iran, risk pushing the region toward further escalation.
The kingdom said it reserves the right to take necessary measures to protect its security, territorial integrity, citizens, residents and vital interests, including the option of responding.
