Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu reports Q2 industrial and innovation gains

RIYADH, July 7 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu reported second-quarter achievements across industrial investment, international partnerships, logistics, clean energy and education, the Saudi Press Agency said.
The industrial investment sector saw the signing of a partnership agreement between Entab Industrial Holding Company and China’s Seas Seven to support the aluminium industry in Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries.
The commission also signed several agreements and memorandums of understanding aimed at strengthening education, training and innovation. These included a MoU with Jazan Integrated Gasification and Power Company to support the training and development of Saudi youth.
Other agreements included cooperation with the Education and Training Evaluation Commission to enhance training quality, a MoU with Sustainable Innovations Company to promote innovation, and an agreement with Shell Saudi Arabia to encourage student creativity in electric vehicles.
In strategic projects and specialised services, JCPDI Port introduced incentives of up to 50 percent to attract shipping lines and support investors. The commission in Yanbu also launched a hydrogen bus trial to promote awareness of clean energy applications.
The commission participated in Hannover Messe 2026 and Riyadh International Industry Week 2026 as part of efforts to showcase investment and industrial opportunities across its cities.
The quarter also included diplomatic and investment engagement, with the commission receiving several official delegations. Its president hosted the Indian ambassador to discuss industrial partnerships and investments, while the Pakistani ambassador and a delegation from the Embassy of Indonesia visited JCPDI.
Students and staff from the commission also recorded national and international achievements in mathematics, science, chemistry, innovation, informatics and engineering competitions.
The commission said its progress reflected an integrated development approach built on investment partnerships, international relations, national talent and institutional capacity, supporting Saudi Arabia’s industrial development and Vision 2030 objectives.
