Royal Commission for AlUla Showcases Heritage Projects at International Restoration Week in Riyadh

Riyadh, October 1, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) is taking part in International Restoration Week, organized by the Heritage Commission of the Ministry of Culture, being held from October 1 to 5 at JAX District in Diriyah, Riyadh.
The event brings together leading heritage specialists, academic institutions, students, and visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom. RCU’s participation aims to highlight the cultural and historical legacy of AlUla while presenting restoration and preservation projects developed in line with international best practices.
Officials said the RCU pavilion features interactive displays of AlUla’s most significant archaeological sites, ongoing restoration initiatives, and visual storytelling content underlining the Commission’s leadership in heritage preservation.
RCU is also contributing to panel discussions, including a session titled “Sustainable Methodologies for Restoration”, with the participation of international experts to exchange knowledge and foster innovation in the field.
AlUla’s involvement in the forum reaffirms RCU’s commitment to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, positioning heritage as a pillar of sustainable development and enhancing the Kingdom’s global standing in cultural preservation.
