Riyadh Air Orders Six Additional Airbus A350-1000s, Expanding Total Airbus Fleet to 91 Aircraft

FARNBOROUGH, July 21, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — Riyadh Air exercised purchase rights for six additional Airbus A350-1000 aircraft during the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, increasing its confirmed orders for the widebody model to 31.
The Saudi carrier has also ordered 60 Airbus A321 aircraft, bringing its total confirmed Airbus order book to 91 jets. It retains purchase rights for another 19 aircraft, providing additional capacity for future expansion.
The A350-1000 will form a central part of Riyadh Air’s long-haul fleet, supporting planned connections between the Saudi capital and destinations across Asia, Europe, Oceania and North America.
The latest order follows the launch of the airline’s first scheduled commercial service between Riyadh and London Heathrow on June 10.
Riyadh Air is seeking to build one of the world’s newest and most efficient commercial fleets as it expands its international network.
The airline also has a long-term TotalCare service agreement with Rolls-Royce and aims to operate its fleet using 100% sustainable aviation fuel by 2030 as part of its emissions-reduction strategy.
