Riyadh Air Launches Direct Flights Between Riyadh and Manchester

RIYADH, September 17, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Riyadh Air launched direct flights between Riyadh and Manchester on Thursday, adding its second destination in the United Kingdom after London, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The Public Investment Fund-owned airline will operate the route three times a week, with flights scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The service was developed in collaboration with Saudi Arabia’s Air Connectivity Program, which works to expand international routes and increase seat capacity in priority markets.

The new connection gives travelers from northern England direct access to Riyadh, along with onward travel through Riyadh Air’s expanding network.

Manchester follows the airline’s launch of flights to London on June 10. The addition extends Riyadh Air’s operations beyond the British capital and establishes a direct link with one of northern England’s main commercial and sporting centers.

The airline said the route would support travel between Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom across business, education, sports and tourism.

Riyadh Air is wholly owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. The Manchester service forms part of the carrier’s wider international network expansion.
