Riyadh Air Launches Inaugural Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner Flight to London Heathrow

RIYADH, June 10 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Riyadh Air launched its inaugural flight from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh to London Heathrow Airport, marking the debut of the airline’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet.
The flight, RX401, arrived in London at 7:30 a.m. local time, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Riyadh Air, the Kingdom’s new national carrier and a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund, received its first aircraft in Riyadh on June 5 and a third aircraft on June 7.
Additional aircraft deliveries are scheduled in the coming period to support the airline’s operational plans.
The carrier aims to connect Saudi Arabia to 100 destinations worldwide by 2030.
The inaugural flight follows Riyadh Air’s daily operations to London, which began last October using the reserve aircraft “Jamila” as part of its “Pathway to Perfect” operational program.
The program was designed to test operational readiness and evaluate passenger touch points before commercial services using the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet.
