JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia, June 24 — The Red Wind, Coral Worlds exhibition at Hayy Arts in Hayy Jameel, Jeddah, explores the historical, cultural and environmental interactions that have shaped the Red Sea over centuries.

The exhibition runs through October 26.

It traces the impact of trade, pilgrimage and migration routes on the region’s memory and cultural connections, presenting the Red Sea as a space of interconnected worlds rather than an isolated body of water.

The exhibition highlights the material and cultural legacies left by centuries of movement, trade, pilgrimage and displacement, as well as the human and cultural connections formed across the Red Sea’s shores.

Through its sections, the exhibition examines coral archives, inherited practices and wind-borne currents.

It also reflects on how memory is preserved, transmitted and reshaped through both tangible and intangible forms.

The exhibition is part of the Hayy Arts program, which presents museum-style exhibitions by Saudi and international artists and designers.

The program also includes talks, performances, films, learning opportunities, workshops and activities for children, youth and visitors of all ages.
