Qatar’s Emir Travels to New York for UN General Assembly Amid Gaza Crisis

Doha, Sept 21, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Sunday departed for New York to participate in the upcoming session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Amiri Diwan announced.

World leaders are convening in New York as the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip nears its second year. The conflict has deepened a humanitarian crisis in the enclave, where international monitors have warned that famine has already taken hold and is expected to spread by the end of the month.
