Norway Announces Additional 125 Million Crowns in Aid for Palestinians
OSLO, September 24, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Norway will provide an additional 125 million Norwegian crowns ($13.17 million) in aid for Palestinians through the United Nations and the World Bank, its government said on Thursday.
The funding includes support for the Palestinian public sector budget. Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide said the need for international assistance was “greater than ever.”
Norway expects to provide around 1 billion crowns in assistance to Palestinians in 2026, including the newly announced funding.
Eide also criticised Israeli settlement activity in the occupied West Bank. Norway recognised a Palestinian state in 2024 and chairs the international donor group for the Palestinians.
