Riyadh, February 27, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Visiting Madinah during Ramadan offers access to 1,382 historical landmarks linked to the Prophet’s life, as rehabilitation projects move ahead across key sites, the draft said.

To support 12% annual growth in visitors and a 29% rise in tourism demand recorded in 2025, the Madinah Region Development Authority is rehabilitating sites including the Quba, Qiblatain and Fash mosques, as well as the Ghars and Faqir wells.

A project is also creating three dedicated cultural spaces in the central area, featuring upgraded infrastructure, landscaping and interactive guiding maps designed to help visitors visualise Islamic history.

The initiatives, alongside a 22% increase in regional tourism spending, aim to integrate historical heritage with modern services and improve access to landmarks linked to the Prophet’s biography.
