Riyadh, Jan. 9, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Twelve local falcon owners were crowned winners of the King Abdulaziz Cups in the Milwah Race on Friday as part of the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025, organised by the Saudi Falcons Club at its headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, organisers said.

The local owners’ rounds featured 160 falcons, with 10 falcons competing in each of eight rounds, the organisers said.

They said the local amateurs’ rounds of the Milwah Race will be held on Saturday, featuring 12 King Abdulaziz Cups.

Organisers said this year’s festival has drawn falconers from multiple countries, led by participants from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, with entries also from Spain, Italy, Ireland, Pakistan and Syria. They added the festival has achieved three Guinness World Records as the largest falconry festival in terms of the number of participating falcons.
