King Abdulaziz International Airport Operational Plan Approved for 1447 AH Umrah Season

Jeddah, February 16, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Jeddah Airports Company has approved the operational plan for King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) to manage the 1447 AH Umrah peak season, ensuring the efficient handling of pilgrims during Ramadan.
The plan covers three main terminals: the Hajj and Umrah Terminal Complex, Terminal 1, and the North Terminal. To expedite processing, the airport will operate 407 baggage check-in counters and 463 passport control counters.
Facilities include 56 passenger boarding bridges, 35 baggage-claim belts, and 81 customs inspection devices to support smooth arrivals and departures. Health and humanitarian services have been enhanced with four operational health centers, three welcome lounges, and 20 air-conditioned rest areas in the public zone of the Hajj and Umrah Terminal Complex.
The airport workforce will exceed 10,000 personnel during peak periods, comprising governmental, operational, and security agencies operating in an integrated system around the clock.
The 1447 AH Umrah season schedule sets the end of the arrival period for pilgrims on April 3, 2026, with the final departure for Umrah visa holders on April 18, 2026.
