Jazan Culture House holds pottery workshop for young participants

JAZAN, Saudi Arabia, June 25 — Jazan Culture House organized the “Little Potter” workshop as part of the Hiraf Cultural Club’s activities, targeting participants aged 10 to 18.
The workshop aimed to develop young people’s creative skills and introduce them to traditional crafts as part of the region’s cultural heritage.
Participants received hands-on training in clay shaping and pottery making, beginning with an introduction to the materials and tools used before creating practical models.
The workshop allowed participants to engage directly in the pottery-making process, helping them develop artistic awareness and manual skills.
It also introduced participants to the stages of pottery-making, its development over time and the cultural and historical values linked to the craft.
Jazan Culture House said the workshop reflects the relationship between people, local resources and the environment, and supports the preservation of the community’s cultural identity.
The workshop is part of a series of specialized programs designed to support emerging talent, strengthen the presence of traditional crafts and transfer expertise to new practitioners.
