Iranian Attacks Cause Significant Damage at Kuwait Oil Site and Injure Several People

KUWAIT CITY, July 18, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — Repeated Iranian attacks caused significant damage to a vital site in Kuwait’s oil sector and injured several people on Saturday, according to Kuwaiti authorities.

Kuwait Petroleum Corporation said the injured individuals received medical treatment and the affected site was evacuated.

The company did not identify the facility, disclose the number of people injured or provide details about the damage.

Kuwait’s fire service said its teams were also fighting fires at two separate locations following Iranian attacks.

Five public fire service teams and three oil sector teams responded to one of the incidents. Several firefighters and one worker were injured during the operation.

Three additional fire teams were working to control the second fire.

A power generation and water desalination plant was also struck on Saturday, according to Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy.

Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry condemned the attacks and accused Iran of acting “in flagrant violation of international law” by targeting power and desalination infrastructure.

The ministry said Kuwait retained the right to “take all necessary measures” to defend itself.
