DUBAI, June 1 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Iran suspended indirect exchanges with the United States through mediators on Monday, accusing Israel of continued attacks in Lebanon and saying any ceasefire breach on one front violated the wider truce, Iranian media reported.

IRGC-affiliated Tasnim news agency said Tehran’s negotiating team had suspended dialogue and the exchange of texts through mediators.

The agency said the decision followed what it described as continuing Israeli actions in Lebanon.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said earlier Monday that the ceasefire applied to all fronts, including Lebanon, and that any violation on one front amounted to a violation of the ceasefire as a whole.

Tehran also demanded a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanon, Tasnim reported.

It was not immediately clear whether the suspension closed all communication channels between Tehran and Washington or whether some contacts remained active.

The move came as Iran and the United States remained apart on terms for extending a ceasefire and reaching a broader settlement.

Talks have covered the Strait of Hormuz, Iran’s enriched uranium stockpiles, sanctions relief and the terms of a lasting agreement.

U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday that Iran wanted to reach a deal, while warning last week that Tehran had to make an agreement or Washington would “finish the job.”

The ceasefire has been tested by repeated incidents, including conflicting U.S. and Iranian accounts of exchanges in the Gulf.
