Riyadh, March 14 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps urged the United States on Saturday to move its industries out of the region and warned that facilities linked to American companies could become targets, as tensions rose after U.S. strikes on Iran’s Kharg Island.
Reuters reported that the Revolutionary Guard had called on the United States to move industries out of the Middle East, while Iranian warnings also expanded to sites connected to U.S. interests in the Gulf.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi separately warned that Tehran would respond to any attack on its energy facilities by targeting American companies in the region or companies in which the United States held shares, according to Reuters.
The warning came after U.S. forces struck military sites on Kharg Island, Iran’s main Gulf oil export hub. Reuters also reported that at least 15 people were killed in a strike on a refrigerator and heater factory in Isfahan, according to Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency.
