Tabuk, December 11, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – International Mountain Day, observed annually on December 11, has drawn attention to the natural landscape of the Tabuk Region, including the geological site of Jabal Ral.
Located about 90 kilometers south of Al-Wajh Governorate, Jabal Ral is known for its distinct rock formations shaped over millions of years. The mountain consists of two main sections, northern and southern, and reflects the varied terrain of the area.
Jabal Ral and its surrounding environment support a range of plant and animal species, including drought-tolerant vegetation, birds and desert wildlife. The site is recognized locally for its environmental significance.
Residents of Al-Wajh regard the area as a location for outdoor visits, particularly after rainfall, when vegetation becomes more visible. The valley located between the two main rock sections includes acacia and tamarisk trees, contributing to local biodiversity.
