VIENNA, April 6, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — The U.N. nuclear watchdog said on Monday that recent strikes had landed near Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant, with one impact point about 75 metres from the facility’s perimeter.

The International Atomic Energy Agency said in a social media post that its analysis indicated the plant had not been damaged as of Sunday.

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi called for an end to such attacks, saying they posed “a very real danger to nuclear safety.”

Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization has said there have been four attacks near the facility since the war began on Feb. 28. The latest strike, on Saturday, killed a security guard and damaged a support building, it said.

Bushehr, which uses low-enriched uranium supplied by Russia and employs Russian technicians, generates about 1,000 megawatts of electricity for Iran.
