RIYADH, March 7, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates said on Saturday evening that their air defense systems intercepted missiles and drones launched from Iran.
The incidents occurred hours after Iran’s president issued an apology earlier in the day for attacks targeting neighboring countries.
The UAE Ministry of Defense said its air defense systems were responding to intercept missiles and drones launched toward the country.
Qatar’s Defense Ministry also reported intercepting a missile attack.
In Bahrain, warning sirens sounded again across the island kingdom, marking the seventh alert issued on Saturday.
