Saudi Foreign Minister Joins GCC-France Talks on Regional Security
NEW YORK, September 22, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in a ministerial meeting between Gulf Cooperation Council states and France in New York on Monday.
The meeting addressed regional developments and their implications for security and stability, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Participants reviewed cooperation and coordination between GCC states and France in responding to current regional challenges.
The discussions also covered key issues of mutual interest included on the agenda of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The GCC-France meeting was held on the sidelines of the assembly’s High-level Week, where Prince Faisal is leading Saudi Arabia’s delegation.
Saudi Arabia has said its participation in this year’s session focuses on international cooperation, regional security, diplomatic engagement and the peaceful resolution of disputes.
