Saudi Arabia, Pakistan Sign Short-Stay Visa Waiver Agreement
NEW YORK, September 22, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have signed a reciprocal agreement exempting holders of diplomatic and special passports from short-stay visa requirements, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar signed the agreement following a meeting in New York on Monday.
The exemption applies specifically to diplomatic and special passport holders travelling between the two countries for short stays.
The agreement is intended to simplify travel procedures, strengthen coordination and support wider cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
During their meeting, Prince Faisal and Dar reviewed bilateral relations and discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation between their countries.
They also examined the latest regional developments and diplomatic efforts aimed at containing tensions.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the High-level Week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
