Riyadh, March 1, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – In a joint statement on Sunday, the foreign ministers of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain called on Iran to immediately halt attacks on their territories, describing them as violations of sovereignty that threaten regional security and stability.
The six ministers held a virtual emergency meeting on Sunday following United States and Israeli strikes on Iran and subsequent Iranian missile attacks on United States bases and other infrastructure in the region, including airports, hotels and, in some cases, residential areas.
The ministers condemned attacks targeting the six Gulf states and Jordan.
The ministers cited their legal right to respond and the right to self-defence under international law.
