Godolphin’s Ombudsman wins Dubai Turf at Meydan

RIYADH, March 28, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Godolphin’s Ombudsman won the Group 1 Dubai Turf on Saturday at Meydan Racecourse, taking the seventh race on the card at the 30th Dubai World Cup.
Trained by John and Thady Gosden and ridden by William Buick, Ombudsman triumphed in the 1,800-metre turf race.
The race featured 11 horses and carried a total purse of $5 million, sponsored by DP World.
Ombudsman clocked a winning time of 1:47.46 to secure the $2.9 million winner’s cheque.
Quddwah finished second to earn $1 million, while Andreas Vesalius placed third and collected $500,000.
