Canelo Arrives in Riyadh Ahead of WBC Title Fight Against Christian Mbilli
RIYADH, October 27 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez has arrived in Riyadh ahead of his October 31 fight against Christian Mbilli for the WBC super-middleweight title.
The Mexican boxer will challenge the French-Cameroonian champion at The Venue on Saturday, headlining “Mexico vs. The World” as part of the seventh Riyadh Season.
Álvarez is seeking to regain the world title, while Mbilli will defend it against the Mexican challenger. Canelo arrived on Monday alongside other boxers taking part in the event, following Mbilli’s earlier arrival.
The fight concludes Riyadh’s Boxing Week program. Boxer appearances are scheduled for Wednesday, followed by a press conference on Thursday and the official weigh-in on Friday before Saturday’s fight card.
