EDGE Launches European Defence Company Headquartered in Paris

ABU DHABI, June 11 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Abu Dhabi-based advanced technology and defence group EDGE launched EDGE Europe on Thursday, a French-registered commercial enterprise headquartered in Paris.
The company will operate through a strategic head office in the Chaillot neighbourhood of central Paris and an engineering and manufacturing hub in Bordeaux.
EDGE Europe will focus on defence technology, industrial partnerships and the development of advanced systems for European and international customers.
The Paris office will lead government engagement, partnerships and regional investment, while the Bordeaux hub will support engineering, design, integration and manufacturing.
EDGE Group Chairman Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai said the company would invest in European talent, build with European industry and develop defence capability on the continent.
Al Bannai also described the choice of Paris as a reflection of the UAE-France strategic relationship.
EDGE said its European operations will cover autonomous systems, air, naval and ground platforms, propulsion, artificial intelligence, electronic warfare, sensors and communications.
The company plans to work with European defence groups, technology firms, universities and research centres.
EDGE also cited its existing European industrial base, including stakes and partnerships involving companies in Estonia, Switzerland, Poland, Italy, Spain and France.
