RIYADH, April 14 - Prince Rakan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, governor of Diriyah, visited Diriyah Company on Tuesday to review its projects and inspect progress at construction sites across the historic Saudi city, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
He was received by Saad Al Kroud, head of local real estate investments at the Public Investment Fund and board member and secretary-general of Diriyah Company, along with Diriyah Company Group CEO Jerry Inzerillo and other executives, SPA said.
During the visit, Prince Rakan reviewed the masterplan for Diriyah, one of Saudi Arabia's flagship development projects, including its cultural, entertainment and residential components aimed at positioning the area as a global destination for heritage, culture and tourism.

He also toured several key projects, including Diriyah Arena, a 76,000-square-metre venue with capacity for about 20,000 seats designed to host major international events in a style inspired by traditional Najdi architecture.
The tour also covered the Grand Boulevard, a 1.9-km urban destination set to include more than 85,000 square metres of retail and restaurant space, seven landmark attractions, six international hotels with around 1,300 rooms, more than 400,000 square metres of office space, 2,400 luxury residential units and over 12,000 parking spaces.
SPA said Prince Rakan also reviewed the Ritz-Carlton Residences Diriyah, Raffles Residences Diriyah, an iconic mosque project, an Apple store site at Diriyah Square, the Media and Innovation District, and Wadi Safar, a 60-square-km development featuring luxury residences, resorts, cultural and sports facilities.
