Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Chairs Cabinet Session, Reviews Gaza Developments and Approves Key Agreements

Riyadh, October 21 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet session held in Riyadh on Tuesday, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
At the outset, His Royal Highness briefed the Cabinet on the phone call received from French President Emmanuel Macron, during which the two leaders discussed developments in the Gaza Strip and stressed the urgent need to alleviate the humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people, secure a full Israeli withdrawal, and advance practical steps toward a just peace based on the two-state solution.
The Cabinet reaffirmed the Kingdom’s support for regional and international efforts to promote security and peace worldwide, while welcoming the ceasefire agreement reached between Pakistan and Afghanistan and the establishment of mechanisms aimed at consolidating lasting stability between the two countries.
In a statement following the session, Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary said the Cabinet reviewed development program plans across several government agencies, particularly those related to the ecosystem of national projects, designed to enhance service quality, productivity, and sustainable development in line with Vision 2030.
The Cabinet praised the launch of the King Salman Gate project, describing it as a major milestone in the infrastructure development of Makkah’s central area. The project aims to transform Makkah into a global urban model and provide high-quality services to Grand Mosque visitors, aligning with the objectives of the Pilgrim Experience Program.
The Cabinet also commended the ongoing initiatives to boost housing supply and achieve real estate balance across the Kingdom’s regions, emphasizing that these efforts will support construction and development, expand diverse housing options for citizens, and attract investors and development companies to the Saudi market.
Members of the Cabinet noted that the Kingdom’s receipt of global awards in open education, rural development, and rail transport reflects the government’s continued commitment to excellence and international competitiveness in key sectors.
The Cabinet also highlighted the success of the second Saudi International Rail Exhibition and Conference, which featured participation from 22 countries and resulted in the signing of over 50 contracts and agreements supporting the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
The Cabinet addressed other items on its agenda and issued several decisions, including:
1️⃣ Authorizing the Minister of Foreign Affairs, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Sudanese side a draft agreement to establish a Saudi-Sudanese Coordination Council.
2️⃣ Approving a headquarters agreement between the Kingdom and the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD).
3️⃣ Approving a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Education and an Italian higher school of commerce and business for human capital development, and authorizing the minister, or a deputy, to sign it.
4️⃣ Approving the establishment of a branch of the University of Strathclyde in Riyadh.
