Bahrain’s King Hamad Receives Prince Faisal bin Salman, Reviews Saudi-Bahraini Cooperation in Historical Archiving

Manama, September 10, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain received on Tuesday Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah), along with his accompanying delegation, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prince Faisal conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, along with their best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of Bahrain and its people.
King Hamad expressed appreciation for the gesture, praising the deep-rooted historical relations and strong bonds uniting Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
Prince Faisal reviewed Darah’s pioneering role in preserving historical documents and highlighting their scientific and cultural value. He outlined efforts to leverage digital solutions and generative artificial intelligence to apply international best practices in archiving and ensure accessibility for researchers and scholars.
The discussions also covered avenues for enhancing cooperation between Darah and its Bahraini counterparts, encouraging specialized studies on the historical ties between the two countries, and supporting researchers with access to primary historical sources, including photographs, documents, and manuscripts.
