Arab Golf Federation Strengthens Role with New Tournaments Backed by Saudi Leadership

Riyadh, October 2, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Arab Golf Federation (AGF), led by its president Yasir Al-Rumayyan, is strengthening its regional and international presence by supporting national golf federations and expanding partnerships spearheaded by Golf Saudi and the Saudi Golf Federation.

At a news conference in Cairo on Tuesday, Egyptian Golf Federation president Omar Hisham announced the launch of a series of major international tournaments as part of the Asian Development Tour, under the direct support of the AGF.

Hisham said the move aims to restore Egypt’s historic standing in the sport.

Officials noted that Saudi Arabia’s successes in hosting tournaments such as the PIF Saudi International and the Saudi Open presented by PIF have enabled the AGF to build a global network, strengthening cooperation with leading international tours and advancing the growth of golf in the region.
