ALULA, May 18 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Royal Commission for AlUla marked International Museum Day as part of efforts to strengthen AlUla’s position as the world’s largest living museum.

The commission said AlUla preserves a civilizational legacy spanning thousands of years while supporting cultural, tourism and economic development under Saudi Vision 2030.

RCU continues to develop and preserve key heritage sites, including Hegra, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its Nabataean tombs carved into sandstone.

The commission is also highlighting Dadan, one of the oldest Arab kingdoms in northwest Arabia, through archaeological conservation, research and visitor access projects.

Jabal Ikmah, listed in UNESCO’s Memory of the World register, features thousands of ancient inscriptions documenting social, religious and economic life in ancient civilizations.

RCU said its work aims to protect human heritage while presenting AlUla as a global model for sustainable cultural development.
