Saudi Arabia Opens Pavilion at Moscow International Book Fair 2026

MOSCOW, September 2, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Arabia’s Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission inaugurated the Kingdom’s pavilion at the Moscow International Book Fair 2026.
The fair is being held in the Russian capital from September 2 to 6.
Commission CEO Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Wasel said Saudi Arabia’s participation reflects the historic cultural ties between the Kingdom and Russia and aims to introduce Saudi literary and intellectual activity to Russian and international audiences.
He said the pavilion offers an integrated cultural window showcasing the intellectual and creative diversity of Saudi Arabia under Vision 2030.
The commission is also seeking to support Saudi writers and publishers, create new opportunities for cultural exchange and strengthen cooperation within the publishing industry.
The pavilion brings together government entities and national cultural organizations led by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission.
Participants include the King Fahd National Library, King Abdulaziz Public Library, King Abdulaziz Complex for Endowment Libraries, King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives, Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, and King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran.
The King Abdulaziz Center for Cultural Communication, Saudi Cultural Attaché in Türkiye, Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and Prince Mohammed bin Salman Global Center for Arabic Calligraphy are also participating.
An accompanying cultural program features dialogue sessions and poetry evenings involving Saudi writers and intellectuals.
The sessions address literature, publishing and translation while highlighting Saudi cultural achievements and their influence within the international cultural sphere.
The participation forms part of the commission’s efforts to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s presence at major international cultural events and introduce global audiences to national initiatives supporting books, authors and literary creativity.
