AlUla emerges as hub for film tourism with growing audiovisual productions

In 2025, the governorate hosted 83 audiovisual projects, including feature films, documentaries, television programs, commercials, music videos, and short films. In 2024, AlUla accommodated 85 productions, demonstrating sustained activity in the region’s audiovisual sector.


The region’s appeal has attracted filmmakers from around the world, transforming cinematic locations into tourism drivers and increasing the participation of national talent within production crews. Film AlUla supports this ecosystem by providing infrastructure, regulatory assistance, and logistical services for productions.


AlUla Studios serve as a fully integrated production facility, offering soundstages, outdoor backlots, set construction workshops, production offices, and supporting facilities such as dressing, makeup, costume rooms, and advanced recording studios.
