Riyadh, October 5, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has urged businesses in the Kingdom subject to withholding tax to file their September returns by October 12 via its official website, zatca.gov.sa, to avoid late payment penalties.
ZATCA stated that delays in submission will incur a fine of 1% on the unpaid tax amount for every 30 days past the due date.
The Authority emphasized the importance of timely compliance and clarified that withholding tax applies to payments made from within the Kingdom to non-resident entities that do not have a permanent establishment in Saudi Arabia. The applicable rates are outlined in Article 68 of the Income Tax Law and Article 63 of its Implementing Regulations.
For inquiries, taxpayers may contact ZATCA through its 24/7 unified call center at 19993, via @Zatca_Care on X, by email at info@zatca.gov.sa, or through the live chat service available on the website.
