World Leaders Discuss Investment, Development, and Human Progress at FII9 in Riyadh

Riyadh, October 29 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII9) continued its sessions in Riyadh on Tuesday, addressing themes related to humanity, sustainable development, tax reform, spending efficiency, and strategies to attract long-term foreign investment.

A session titled “Is Humanity Heading in the Right Direction?” brought together high-level participants, including the Prime Ministers of Pakistan and Albania and the Presidents of Rwanda and Guyana, to discuss leadership, innovation, and the pursuit of tangible progress for societies worldwide.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif congratulated His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on hosting FII9, describing the event as a global platform for ideas that shape the future of economies and nations.

Sharif outlined Pakistan’s ongoing economic reforms aimed at strengthening revenue systems, advancing digital transformation, combating corruption, and improving public spending efficiency, all directed toward attracting sustainable investment and fostering long-term development.

President of Rwanda Paul Kagame shared insights from his country’s development model, emphasizing that despite Rwanda’s small geographic size, its strong national spirit and open economic mindset have enabled it to compete effectively on the global stage.

President of Guyana Mohamed Irfaan Ali stressed the importance of investing in human capital, expanding infrastructure, and building resilient economies capable of maintaining growth and competitiveness in an evolving world economy.

Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama highlighted the role of culture, creativity, and the arts in inspiring social development and praised the transformation taking place in Saudi Arabia as a model where “beauty and prosperity are intertwined,” noting that it stands as an inspiration to the world.
