UK Condemns Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia, Calls for Immediate Halt

LONDON, September 10 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Britain condemned Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, including civilian infrastructure and energy facilities, and called on the group to halt its attacks immediately and de-escalate.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office reaffirmed support for Saudi Arabia, its regional partners and Yemen’s legitimate government. It said Saudi Arabia and Yemen had the right to defend their security and sovereignty in accordance with international law.
The office warned that Houthi attacks threatened regional stability, freedom of navigation and vital trade routes through the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb.
It held the Houthis fully responsible for the consequences of the escalation, saying it was worsening the suffering of people in need of humanitarian assistance.
Britain said it was working with partners to support regional stability, protect civilians and keep humanitarian aid flowing.
