UAE Condemns Israeli Strike on Qatar, Calls for Halt to Escalation

Abu Dhabi, September 9, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the Israeli attack that targeted the State of Qatar, describing it as a reckless act and a violation of international law, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, denounced the strike as a “blatant and cowardly attack” constituting a grave breach of Qatar’s sovereignty, the UN Charter, and international norms. He said the aggression posed a serious threat to regional and international peace and security.

Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with Qatar, voicing support for all measures to safeguard the security of its citizens and residents. He stressed the urgent need for an immediate cessation of military escalation, warning that continued provocations risk destabilizing the region with catastrophic consequences for global security.

He called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to fulfill its responsibilities to deter Israel and halt the attacks. He added that the persistence of such actions, without a decisive international response, would deepen regional instability and escalate tensions further.
