RIYADH, March 30, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Turkey said NATO air and missile defence assets in the eastern Mediterranean neutralized a ballistic missile launched from Iran after it entered Turkish airspace, according to a statement from the Turkish Defense Ministry.
The ministry said the incident marked the fourth time a suspected Iranian ballistic munition had been intercepted by NATO defences in Turkey.
A NATO spokesperson also confirmed that the alliance had successfully intercepted a missile heading toward Turkey and said it would take all necessary measures to defend its allies.
