Trump Threatens to Destroy Iranian Infrastructure After Attacks on Ships in Strait of Hormuz

WASHINGTON, July 22, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — US President Donald Trump warned Iran that the United States would destroy a bridge or power plant each time Iranian forces fired at a vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.

The warning followed another wave of US strikes on Iran during the 11th consecutive night of American military operations.

“From this point forward, any time the Islamic Republic of Iran shoots at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, whether it be by Missile, Rocket, Drone, or any other device or weapon, the United States will bomb and destroy ONE BRIDGE OR POWER PLANT,” Trump wrote on social media.

The statement renewed Trump’s earlier threats to target civilian infrastructure in retaliation for Iranian attacks.

Air defences opened fire over Tehran during the latest US strikes. Iran also launched a missile attack on a Jordanian city near Israel, while security alerts were issued in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

The escalation came as diplomatic efforts showed little public sign of progress. US and Iranian officials remained divided over the Strait of Hormuz, a critical route for global energy supplies that has remained largely closed because of Iranian attacks.
