RIYADH, November 3 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) brought together 160 research posters at its sixth Regulatory Research Day, focusing on how scientific findings can improve regulatory decisions, product safety and public health.

Held at the authority’s headquarters in Riyadh, the 2026 edition featured 120 posters from SFDA researchers and 40 from outside the authority, representing 25 government, academic, research and healthcare entities.

SFDA CEO Dr. Hisham Aljadhey said research should be assessed by the quality of studies and their impact on decisions and working practices. He stressed the need to turn scientific findings into practical solutions that improve regulatory oversight and protect public health.

The event also introduced keynote lectures and opened a competition for the Research Excellence Awards, which will recognise the top 10 research projects.

Launched in 2021, Regulatory Research Day connects researchers with regulatory priorities and supports cooperation between the authority and scientific institutions.
