Saudi Supreme Court calls for Ramadan crescent sighting on Tuesday evening

Riyadh, February 15, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court urged Muslims across the Kingdom to sight the crescent moon of Ramadan on the evening of Tuesday, Shaban 29, 1447 AH, corresponding to February 17, 2026, according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar.
The court called on anyone who sights the crescent, whether with the naked eye or through binoculars, to report to the nearest court to register their testimony.
It also asked observers to contact the nearest local center for assistance in reaching the court.
