RIYADH, May 4 — Saudi Arabia’s Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Environment Fund during Environment Week, as the Kingdom seeks to strengthen cooperation on environmental protection and resource management.

The signing took place in the presence of Environment, Water and Agriculture Minister Abdulrahman Al-Fadley.

The agreement aims to establish a framework for cooperation in nature conservation, environmental resource management, and support for research, scientific and innovation initiatives, according to the official statement.

It also includes support for environmental and community-related programs and projects designed to improve the efficiency and impact of environmental work.

The memorandum emphasizes the role of local communities in protecting the environment through support for volunteer initiatives, environmentally friendly practices and awareness programs.

Officials said the agreement aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative and is intended to support stronger coordination between the two entities in future environmental initiatives.
