Saudi Ministry of Health Announces Availability of Seasonal Influenza Vaccine via Sehhaty Application

Riyadh, September 14, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Ministry of Health announced on Sunday that the seasonal influenza vaccine is now available and can be accessed by booking an appointment through the Sehhaty application.

The ministry said the vaccine reduces the severity of infections, lowers the need for intensive care, and decreases mortality rates associated with seasonal influenza.

It highlighted that the groups most at risk of complications include individuals with chronic diseases, those on immunosuppressive medications, people over the age of 50, children aged six months to five years, pregnant women, individuals with obesity, and healthcare workers.

According to ministry data from last year, 96 percent of patients admitted to intensive care units with seasonal influenza had not received the vaccine, underscoring its importance in prevention and protection.
