Saudi-Led Coalition Says It Destroyed Two Missile Launchers in Saada Used in Attempted Riyadh Attack
RIYADH, November 8, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The Saudi-led coalition fighting Yemen's Houthis said on Sunday it had destroyed two ballistic missile launchers in Yemen's northern Saada province that were used in an attempted attack on Riyadh earlier in the day.
Coalition spokesman Major General Turki al-Maliki said the two launchers had been used by the Houthis in the attempted strike on the Saudi capital.
The announcement followed an earlier statement from the coalition saying Saudi air defences had intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis towards Riyadh on Sunday.
The coalition did not provide further details about the destruction of the launchers or report whether the operation had caused any casualties.
