Saudi interior minister meets UK foreign secretary to discuss security cooperation

Riyadh, March 13 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif received UK Foreign Secretary for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs Yvette Cooper in Riyadh on Friday, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The meeting reviewed cooperation between the two countries, particularly in security fields, within the framework of the strategic partnership and long-standing relations linking Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.
The two sides also discussed a number of issues of mutual interest and reviewed current developments and their security implications in the Middle East.
They reaffirmed a shared position condemning attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and several other countries.
Cooper expressed the United Kingdom’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia regarding developments in the region and praised the Kingdom’s efforts to ensure the safety of British citizens and other nationals present in the country.
Officials from both sides attended the meeting, including senior Saudi ministry representatives and the United Kingdom’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
