Saudi General Directorate of Passports launches four new e-services on Absher platform

Riyadh, February 12, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Under the patronage of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, the Saudi General Directorate of Passports launched four new electronic services on the Ministry of Interior’s Absher platform on Thursday.
The new services include updating a resident’s photograph, canceling a dependent’s record, separating a dependent, and using the Absher travel service at the Salwa border crossing.
Major General Dr. Saleh Al-Murabba, acting director-general of Passports, said the services are part of ongoing development to streamline procedures, save time, and enhance the quality of services. He noted that they provide smart solutions supporting digital transformation and improving service efficiency for beneficiaries.
