Saudi foreign minister signs “Board of Peace” charter at WEF alongside Trump

DAVOS, Switzerland, Jan 22, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah signed the founding charter of the “Board of Peace” during a launch ceremony on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, in the presence of U.S. President Donald Trump and leaders and representatives of several countries.

The signing was presented as support for the peace initiative led by the U.S. president and as a reaffirmation of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to the Board of Peace’s mission as a transitional body aimed at ending the conflict in the Gaza Strip, under a framework endorsed by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803.

The statement linked the initiative to support for reconstruction in Gaza and efforts toward a just and lasting peace, with the stated aim of strengthening security and stability for countries and peoples across the region.
